Christmas is every family’s favorite time of year. You gotta love the awesome display of lights, sitting in front of a fire with the Christmas tree glowing , photos with Santa and going to a few dozen holiday shows.

Check out this amazing Christmas lights display around the Atlanta area.

1. Atlanta Botanical Gardens Holiday Lights.

Celebrating its 5th annual electrical extravaganza, Atlanta Botanical Gardens will be featuring spectacular light displays throughout the Garden. Explore all new color schemes and the one-time-only appearance of giant Butterflies, a Unicorn, and Frogs from Imaginary Worlds. All time favorites such as the Orchestral Orbs, Glittering Galaxy, Radiant Rainforest, and Model Trains continue to make the exhibition a must-see holiday tradition.

2. Lights of LIFE at Life University.

A tradition which dates back to 1989. This has grown to be the most affordable light show in the Southeast. The show runs every night, rain or shine. The other feature they offer for as low as $5 per car (depending on the date you visit.) Fri – Sun you can also visit the petting zoo, take train and pony rides and visit Santa.

3. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags.

More than one million LED lights and dozens of Christmas trees create the perfect magical atmosphere this holiday season. The holiday classic will include sparkling lights, festive shows, tasty culinary treats and of course, the Big Man: Santa Claus in all his glory.

4. Holiday Lights of Hope.

This charity event has over 500 families who had helped at Anna Crawford Children’s Center annually. That’s what your ticket purchase does, when you visit the one million Holiday Lights of Hope in Woodstock!

5. Lighting of the Ruins at Barnsley Resort.

The holiday lights at the Barnsley Resort ruins, gardens and village light Nov 25.

6. Country Christmas Nights at The Rock Ranch.

Drive through more than a mile of magical Christmas lights on the farm. Also, get your tickets early for Santa’s Workshop, the Christmas Express, Breakfast with Santa and more.

7. Twilights Festival at Chimney Park.

Enjoy a magical evening filled with fun, food, friends and family along with a warm helping of holiday cheer.

8. Light Up Blue Ridge.

Kids will enjoy the petting zoo, pony and train rides, and more. Gingerbread house and window decorating contest, and the lighting of the Great Tree are also available. The event is not free, but is worth every penny. You can also ride the Santa Express or the Night Train to Santa’s Pavilion on the Blue Ridge Railway. Plus you can also grab some great stuff at the shops in Blue Ridge for Holiday presents, too!

9. Petite Creek Farms.

Over a mile of Christmas Lights to drive thru in Cartersville Georgia. If you live in the Metro Atlanta area, come see our Christmas Light Display! Live Reindeer (Comet & Cupid) are there nightly for your viewing pleasure and enjoyment.

10. Holiday Lights Spectacular by Christmas Décor at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The Holiday Light Spectacular Features a 2-mile route with 16 sections of lights. The route begins at the front of the speedway, passes through the grandstands and ends at Santa’s village (located within the infield). In the infield guests can enjoy visits with Santa, a Christmas tree village, food and drinks, carnival rides and two drive-in movie nights.
