How to make your DIY Olympic Torch at home and use it for our first event, Best Opening Ceremony Routine!

What You Will Need:

• print out the torch handle printable (preferably on card stock – OR an alternative would be using a paper plate)
• tape or glue (glue stick works best)
• scissors
• tissue paper in colors red, orange and yellow
• gold cupcake liner
• battery operated tea light

How To Assemble Your DIY Olympic Torch:

• print out the torch handle printable (preferably on card stock – OR an alternative would be using a paper plate)
  • Cut out the torch handle, including the tabs. Roll the cut out into a cylindrical shape (like a cone) and secure it with either tape or glue.

DIY Olympic Torch Printable

• Take the gold cupcake liner and cut two slits in the bottom large enough for the tabs on the torch handle to fit into those slits. Secure with tape or glue.

• Take your tissue paper (in colors red, orange and yellow) and cut out flame shapes and secure along the inside edge of the gold cupcake liner.

• Take your battery operated tea light and secure it inside the gold cupcake liner to illuminate the tissue paper flames.
• Now your Olympic DIY Torch is ready to use – create your best Opening Ceremony routine using your new torch!
