An annual fundraising event to preserve and share the past is happening at the historic Roswell site on Oct. 3. The Great Flea Fling is an event to help restore the historic Hembree Farm.

The things that will be sold are all donated from residents and businesses, featuring a large selection of decoration which will include artwork, accessories and coffee table books. Proceeds from the event will benefit the restoration of the Hembree Farm historic site including replacing four chimneys, three on the main building and one on the detached kitchen.

A morning bake sale with coffee and later, gourmet hotdogs for lunch and live music entertainment at noon.

The farm was established about 1835 by the Hembree family, who have contributed to the city of Roswell, they donated the land to the Roswell Historical Society.

Join the fun at this fundraising event from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ,Oct. 3 at 775 Hembree Road, Roswell. Proceeds from the event will go to the Hembree Farm historic site.
