Have you ever heard of the “bulky trash day”? It’s actually an invitation for everyone within Roswell and Milton to clean out their garages, basements and attics and at the same time get to dispose their unwanted large items with no charge at all during the Bulky Trash Amnesty Day on Sept. 12, all day Saturday.

They can bring their unwanted items to the City of Roswell Public Works Division at 1810 Hembree Road from 8:00 a.m. to noon, don’t forget to bring a proof of residency as this is an important requirement to join the event. Please note that the line will be cut off at noon.

Here are some of the items that will be accepted during the Bulky Trash Day:

• Tires – must be off the rim, automobile tires only; limit 4 per car
• sofas
• tables
• refrigerators
• chairs
• washers and dryers
• televisions and other electronics
• deactivated cell phones

Check out their list of items which will not be accepted:
• paint
• household hazardous waste
• any fluids including motor oil and anti-freeze
• household batteries

Though it’s called Bulky Trash Day, residents are still encouraged to donate any items that are still in good condition and could be used to a charity such as North Fulton Community Charities, Goodwill or any of the other charities in the area.
